About Us

​

The Iron Men Golf Club was created for the purpose of fellowship, socializing, and friendly golf competition.  Our primary focus is centered on the members of our organization.  Our membership is comprised of business professionals sharing an interest in socializing outside the work environment.  We embrace our retired members and foster new opportunities for young golfers to enjoy the game.

The initial golfers of the Iron Men predominantly started playing golf on small Executive and Par-3 courses not requiring a driver.  As a result of the developing golfers, the initial players were unable to effectively use their Driver when playing traditional 18-hole courses.  Golfers such as Larry Hicks (Long Ball), Curtis Mapp (2-Iron), and others utilized their Irons to drive the ball while teeing off.  The organizations dominance with Iron play was fitting to adopt the name “Iron Men Golf Club”.

 

Our Objectives

In the year 2021, the Iron Men further defined our organizations objectives to encompass the following:

​

• Foster socializing as a major feature of membership.

• Prioritize membership.

• Offer opportunities to engage in friendly competition and games.

• Encourage younger likeminded golfers to join our social community.

• Partner with other similar golfing organizations

Membership Fees

​

• The annual membership fee is $25.00

• Members must also place $150.00 into a reserve fund to seed their golf season account.  Your golf season account will be used to pay for your green fees.

• You must also continue to contribute to your golf season account with the funds required to pay for your scheduled golf outings.
