Iron Men Golf Club Flighting

The Iron Men Golf Club established a set of skilled flights for the participating golfers. The purpose of the flighting system is to establish a competitive system within the Iron Men to encourage competition amongst varying skill level of players. The Flighting system primarily establishes a handicap system based on the assigned tee box for teeing off when playing in an event. Effective 5.22.2021 each golfer will be categorized as a Blue Flight or White Flight. The following further describes each flight:
White Flight
The White Flight is the designation for the higher handicap players. Players within the White Flight typically shoot within the 90s or above. Players may choose to play from the typical White Tees or roughly 6000 yards overall distance. Seniors within the White Flight may also choose to play the up tees.
Blue Flight
The Blue Flight is the designation for the lower handicap players. Players within the Blue Flight typically shoot within the 80s or below. Players may choose to play from the Blue Tees or roughly 6400 yards overall distance. Seniors within the Blue Flight may also choose to play the up tees.
