Originally Winton Woods Golf Course, The Mill Course opened in 1951,  making it one of the oldest public golf courses in the area. In 1993,  the golf course underwent a large renovation. As a part of this  renovation the current clubhouse and banquet center were constructed,  multiple holes were rerouted and five lakes were added, transforming  Winton Woods Golf Course into The Mill Course.
